By moving the frame behind the child, the reverse walker corrects the forward-flexed, crouched posture that conventional anterior walkers reinforce.
Iran's first domestically produced reverse walker, designed for GMFCS levels 2 and 3 — children who need gait training, occupational therapy and rehabilitation, and who with the right equipment can progress to level 1 and independent walking. Before this, imported models cost $400—800 and were effectively out of reach. Globally there are three main types — Classic, Dynamic and Crocodile; the Classic model was designed and produced in Iran first. Establishing the production line required an investment of 500 million tomans; at peak, around 50 walkers were produced daily.
